Edenvale Home Hospital Expansion
A Feasibility study was carried out when neighbouring land became available.
The project was expanded to a 90 Bed Hospital level care facility building over
two properties in three stages. Resource Consent has been granted. Carew acted as
lead consultant for this $14.8m development project over a mix of 1 & 6A residential
zones. Client is currently seeking further funding.

Parklands Village Redevelopment
Carew Projects acting as Client Representative for initial concept design and current
working drawings design management, resource &
building consents as well as Main Contractor P+G & margin tender management role for expansion
of existing P/G hospital and 30 additional Serviced Apartment Complex in Papanui,
Christchurch. Project Budget is $15m.

Edenvale Home Extension
A Feasibility study into the expansion of an existing traditional format resthome
to extend and provide two storey private hospital level care. Following the decision to
proceed, Carew acted as lead consultant for this $4m development project on a tightly
developed site in a residential one zone. Client decided to expand project – see above.

Erin Park Village Hospital Conversion
Carew Projects acted as Client Representative for Contract Administration, tender analysis
and construction management of the conversion of 31 resthome rooms in to hospital beds.
Works included expansion of lounges, new bedrooms, a new service/visitor lift and new entry
installation. The $2m project was a considerably tight budget. The facility was operational
through out the refurbishment works.

Condition Survey and Costed Maintenance Programme for existing Retirement Village – 90
villas and 44 bed care facility. Upgrade project awaiting funding.

Arran Court Private Hospital
Carew Projects managed the initial feasibility study, resource consent and construction
management role for the expansion of an existing resthome to provide 50 additional private hospital and
resthome beds. A $3m project.

Three Kings Grove
A complete transformation of the cul-de-sac site at 947 Mt Eden Road known as Three Kings
Grove. Major exterior and internal improvements to an ex-council 1960's pensioner housing
site. Their was significant subsidence of unstable ground which called for an innovative construction
solution that was also cost viable.
